Lilley War Memorial
The war
memorial is in need of some care and attention. The Parish Council has engaged Wrighton and Barker to carry out some restoration works which will entail cleaning, repointing, levelling the memorial itself and re-painting the WWII inscription.
We hope that some of this will take place before Remembrance Sunday and look forward to seeing many residents at the Remembrance Sunday service on 10th November, which will start in St Peter’s Church with the procession leading out to the war memorial in time for the minute’s silence at 11am.
As usual, traffic will be held along West Street for the duration of the service and we thank you for your patience.
